Ecovillage Housing Solution
Our Ecovillage-Housing solution moves the homeless off the streets, out of the city's business districts and into their own comfortable, self-sustaining, rural community villages. Supporting your local Ecovillage Construction Project will also increase corridor safety, restore business curb appeal and enhance economic vitality in your market area. The Ecovillage is a Smart business solution and a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) IRS Recognized Tax-Exempt -EIN# 35-2404851.
1. The Ecovillage model addresses the U.S. housing and behavioral health crisis by moving thousands of homeless individuals off city streets, out of business corridors and into safe, dignified rural villages. The program serves, veterans, families, youth and single adults.
2. The Ecovillage expands the current number of available housing in every city, to provide for a greater number of unsheltered individuals. It can affectively house over 2000 residents, per 100 acres of land, in a rural community village setting.
3. The Mission; is to provide architecturally designed, self-sustaining rural communities for homeless individuals and families, through dependable housing, food security, behavioral health, and personal healing.
4. This initiative enhances business corridor safety, restores curb appeal, and promotes economic vitality by relocating homeless populations to dedicated rural communities.
5. The Ecovillage integrates rapid-delivery housing, trauma-informed care, family support, workforce development, veterans housing, and resilient infrastructure.
6. The Ecovillage is designed by Johnson Construction Consulting (Architects & Engineers) and built by Western Contractors (General Construction)
7. Western Contractors Community Outreach (WCCO) manages the construction funds, trade training program and building fundraising through its Nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-Exempt -EIN# 35-2404851.
8. WCCO's Construction Workforce Development Program provides Construction Trade Training to Ecovillage residents to assist apprentices in acquiring skills that contribute to the Ecovillage buildout.
9. WCCO operates exclusively for charitable purposes and manages a dedicated Ecovillage Construction Fund.
