COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Western Contractors Community Outreach (WCCO) offers Construction Trade Training to homeless individuals who want to work on the Village Construction Crews and also learn a professional trade. Our Program encourages Villagers to participate in the Village construction workforce and contribute to the building and development of their village home.
WCCO provides Construction Trade Training in: Roofing, Flooring, Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Electrical, Painting, Sheet Metal, Mill Work, Pipe Fitting, HVAC, Welding, Drywall, Installers and Finishers, Renewable Energy Trades, Solar Assisted HVAC Installations, and Solar Panel Installations.
Open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm Eastern.
Job placement on village construction crews. Villagers train on construction crews with Journeymen. Our Journeymen-instructors are professional craftsmen whose experience and knowledge are passed on to village crew members through direct training. Under the guidance of master-journeymen, village crew members gain skills experience, that makes them valuable members on the village construction workforce.

Western Contractors Community Outreach (WCCO) offers Construction Trade Training to Ecovillage Residents who want to help build the Ecovillages and also learn a skill trade. WCCO identifies individuals with previous building construction experience and train them on crews with master journeymen. WCCO offers Construction Trade Training in: Roofing, Flooring, Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Electrical, Painting, Sheet Metal, Mill Work, Pipe Fitting, HVAC, Welding, Drywall, Installers and Finishers, Renewable Energy Trades, Solar Assisted HVAC Installations, and Solar Panel Installations. During their trade training, village construction crew members are taught through Classroom Instruction, Hands on Training, and On the Job Training. WCCO Trade Training Program assures trade skill level workmanship, professionalism and ethical behavior from each village-crew- member while performing their trade on the Ecovillage Project worksites. We develop quality tradesmen trained by skilled knowledgeable journeymen.
