Western Contractors Community Outreach (WCCO) offers Construction Trade Training to homeless individuals who want to work on the Village Construction Crews and also learn a professional trade. Our Program encourages Villagers to participate in the Village construction workforce and contribute to the building and development of their village home. WCCO Trade Training Program provides construction training to Villagers and is a vetting system to identify individuals with trade skills as construction crew members
WCCO workforce training and vocational programs support long-term economic independence. WCCO provides Construction Trade Training in: Roofing, Flooring, Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Electrical, Painting, Sheet Metal, Mill Work, Pipe Fitting, HVAC, Welding, Drywall, Installers and Finishers, Renewable Energy Trades, Solar Assisted HVAC Installations, and Solar Panel Installations. .
Job Placement on Village Construction Crews Villagers learn basic trade skills and train on construction crews with Journeymen. Our Master journeymen-instructors are professional craftsmen whose incomparable experience and knowledge is passed on to our crew members through direct training. From a combination of classroom learning and hands-on training, under the direct guidance of master-journeymen, Village crew members will gain “real-life” experience, that makes them valuable to the Village Construction Workforce.
